If you do not give up the crowds
you won't find your way to Oneness.
If you do not drop your self
you won't find your true worth.
If you do not offer all you
have to the Beloved,
you will live this life free of that
sweet pain which makes it worth living.

love everyone.
Whether in their presence or absence,
see only their good.
If you want to be as clear and refreshing as

"A fakir once set out on a long journey, carrying with him a bundle filled with bread to eat on the way. At the end of the first day on the road he came to a small mosque, and there he rested for the night. Resuming his journey early the next morning, he walked at a brisk pace for about ten miles and then decided to have a bite to eat. But when he opened his bundle, he found that his bread was full of ants. “Ah, that is too bad,” he thought. “For I have taken these poor ants a long way away from their home in that mosque. How they must be longing to see their parents, children and friends." four signs of a diseased heart

There are four signs of a diseased heart:

1. To feel no enjoyment in worship.

2. To be in a state without fearing God.

3. To take no lessons from worldly events.

4. To learn something and not to put into practice. [Dhunnun al Misri]

Ibnu Sina said that:

"The sufi path can be traveled by determination and practice and not by reading and research. He declared that the sufi is brave because he is shielded from fear of death; is very good because he is shielded from love of what is not right, is forgiving because his ego is above being hurt by a human mistake; is forgetting hatred because his memory is busy with the Truth."

and did not find a better friend

My son, when you pray.........

My son, when you pray,

do it like a person who is bidding farewell to this world,

and don’t assume you will have

another chance to pray again.

My son, know that a believer dies in between two deeds,

one he offers for today,

where he will get immediate blessings,

and the second deed is what he offers

towards the day of resurrection,

and that is where he will gain the ultimate benefits.

Since I understood four things, I have discarded all other knowledge.
1.First, that my daily sustenance has already been apportioned to me and will neither increase nor decrease by my futile efforts, so I strive to increase it no more.
2.Second, I alone and no one else can atone for my sins, so I devote myself to the Lord.
3.Third, I know that I will never be able to escape death, which is in our pursuit, so I have prepared myself to meet him.
4.Fourth, I know that God is observing me; therefore I restrain from doing what I must not do.”

Virtues of Knowledge

Abu Nu’aym reports some sayings of Mu`aadh bin Jabal about the excellence of knowledge, among which we find the following:

“Knowledge is a comforting friend in times of loneliness, it is the best companion during travels, and it is the inner friend who speaks to you in your privacy. Knowledge is the discerning proof of what is right and what is wrong, and it is the positive force that will help you surmount the trials of comfort, as well as those of hardships. Knowledge is your most powerful sword against your enemy, and finally, it is your most dignifying raiment in the company of your close companions. Through knowledge, Allah, blessed be His Name, raises some people in rank, and He makes them leaders in righteousness and models in morality. The vestige of their faith is avidly sought, their deeds are emulated perceptively, and people will seek and sanction their opinions solicitously and unequivocally. The heavenly angels seek their company and anoint them with their wings, every fresh or withered life they pass by implore Almighty Allah to forgive them their sins, even the fish in the oceans, the beasts of the lands and every bird of prey and migratory bird pray and solicit the mercy of Almighty Allah on their behalf. This is because knowledge revives the dead hearts and drives them out of darkness into light, and because knowledge is the light of the inner eyes that cures one’s blindness and restores his inner sight”
