I can only mention that it is so true!
The best thing that can be described by these words is that every decision you take is your own and alone you are responsible, and in treading the path of truth which is your own decision, you have to feel a lot of pain and that of course is what yo have chosen.
However there is more to what he says and that is that your teacher is everything for you and what ever he offers you have to accept it. He is your father and your mother. The cup holds the word of truth and potter is often the teacher. The teacher knows what is best for his pupil. Often at other places potter is the Master Creator himself.
These words are not coined by Gibran but are his personal experiences. That is a fact, otherwise he could never have been so vivid.
